gouty foot gone

I could barely move from sunday’s run and we were going to go to yoga. I was happy to find a Basics class. I don’t know why it was my hips that were sore from running. Right where my leg attaches to the pelvis is what it felt like. I was happy to do some good stretching. At one point we stretched back one leg and I don’t know how but when I pulled that leg back up it felt like the gout soreness in my right foot was gone. If those kinds of soreness are really about energy obstructions, that pose fixed it.

The goal is to do yoga 3 times per week. I decided not to go without my partner anymore. I get mommy guilt doing things for myself some of the time. I want to get the whole family to do this 5K in my community but I hate running. Maybe I can train for it on the bike? No. I think I gotta run too. Dammit.

I’ve been more focused on doing yoga. My girlfriend and I are committed to twice a week. If nothing else I am not using my car as much and learning that I can get a lot of training in that way. But I would like to do a race as I get rid of my muffin top. I learned that what I was calling a marshmallow, or rather my son calls a marshmallow, is really a muffin top. We found we can ride our bikes to yoga in about 20 minutes, which I love!

Last week, I hit this one yoga class that had a topic of weight loss and I learned that slow and steady wins the race. Today my muffin top is sore, which is such a good thing. Perhaps I’ll have deb take a picture of the muffin top so I can have a reason to get rid of it.
